Traditional Geocoins
Traditional Geocoins are what started the trackable revolution in the world of Geocaching. They are specially minted coins that are designed by Geocachers for trading and collecting. Most Traditional Geocoins are approx 1.5-1.75" in diameter and fit in a size small cache or larger. Each Geocoin is assigned a unique tracking ID which allows them to travel from geocache to geocache or to be passed amongst friends, picking up stories along the way. Great for placing in caches as well as adding to your Geocaching collection!
Navigational Geocoins
These Navigational Geocoin series revitalizes and pays tribute to the use of those antiquated devices which the GPS receiver made obsolete. Some of these coins provide a little history behind the devices used, and others are actual working replicas which can provide you with your approximate location. Each coin has a story to tell; each coin represents several centuries worth of navigational development for mankind. Try them out yourself and see what they were like to use. Develop some of the skills which helped our ancestors discover the lands we now live on.
Micro Geocoins
These Micro Geocoins are a great alternative to the Traditional Geocoin series in that they can both fit in a smaller cache making them more versatile to place and be discovered as well as being a little more affordable than the larger Geocoins. Most Micro Geocoins are approx the size of a nickel and will fit in a cache the size of a 35mm film canister.
Keychain Geocoin
Keychain Geocoins are Geocoins that are specifically made to clip onto your keychain so you will have it at your side wherever you travel. This also allows other fellow Geocachers to "discover" you at events or on the trail. Typically the same size as Traditional Geocoins, these Keychain Geocoins have all the same features as other trackables but are designed to be a bit more mobile.
